Barcelona midfielder Fermin has been showing a lot of promise at Barcelona after impressing at the Summer Olympics in Paris, winning the Player of the Tournament award as Spain U-21 clinched the gold medal. This season, Fermin has played a major role in Hansi Flick's side but is not a guaranteed starter with Pedri, Gavi and Marc Casado also shining in the middle of the park.

SPORT has now revealed that Manchester United tabled a €70 million (£58.3m/$72.3m) for Fermin in the winter window in a bid to improve midfield options for Ruben Amorim, however, the 21-year-old made it clear that he is not considering leaving Barcelona as he is enjoying life under Flick at his boyhood club. The report suggested that Aston Villa also wanted to sign Fermin this winter, but neither Premier League side was able to get a deal over the line.
