Loads of Liverpool fans are gushing over the performance of Neco Williams in Sunday’s FA Cup victory over Merseyside rivals Everton.
A bizarre Divock Origi winner with a little help from the crossbar, a goal-fest, a stoppage time winner from Sadio Mane, just when you think Jurgen Klopp is all out of ways to beat Everton, he goes and does it with a reserves side.
The German boss made nine changes from the team that beat Sheffield United with only James Milner and Joe Gomez retaining their places in the XI, but the young Reds did him proud.
After a first half littered with Everton chances the hosts took complete control of the game after the break, and plenty of that was down to the composed play of Williams.
The 18 year-old right-back was fantastic linking up with Harvey Elliott, as he racked up two tackles, four clearances, one shot on target and seven crosses per Sofascore.
Fans couldn’t get enough of his display on social media, with one supporter even suggesting he could soon push Trent Alexander-Arnold into midfield, a position he has been touted for in the past, while another hailed his creativity as ‘unreal’.
