Superagent Jorge Mendes has claimed that Barcelona will sign loanees Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix on permanent deals.

Barca made a major splash by signing both Portuguese playmakers on the final day of the summer 2023 transfer window. Since then, there has been plenty of speculation about whether the two will stay in Catalunya next season.

Mendes, the Portuguese superagent who represents both players, claimed in an interview with Portuguese publication that Barca have indicated they will sign his two clients: "Barcelona plans to sign both Cancelo and Felix permanently. They plan to continue with them beyond this summer."

Felix, in particular, has been met with criticism in Catalunya. After enjoying a successful start to his Barca career, he has since tailed off – and has lost his place in the starting XI to the in-form Ferran Torres. Atletico Madrid are said to want €80 million (£69.5m/$85m) for Felix.
