Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has admitted that he is interested in a move to the Premier League, amid interest from Liverpool.
A number of top English clubs have been linked with a move for the SPL’s top goalscorer, with the Scottish giants putting a £10 million price tag on the forward’s head.
Jelavic is clearly distracted by the speculation, but has vowed to try to concentrate on matters at hand.
“Every day it appears a new club wants me and that’s a little ridiculous,” he told The Daily Mail.
“I know nothing about any offers. I just want to concentrate on Rangers.
“I have another two-and-a-half years left of my contract but, if the club decides to sell me, because I know that we are in a difficult financial situation, then fine.
“Of course I am flattered about Liverpool, but I do not know how much truth there is.
“Therefore, I don’t pay attention because I do not want to create additional pressure. My job is to play. Liverpool is a great name but, like I say, the question is how much are they really interested?” he concluded.
Jelavic’s potential move to Anfield could hasten Dirk Kuyt’s exit from the Merseyside club; the Netherlands international has been with a January transfer to Galatasaray.
